The Restaurant and Kitchen

The engine room of New Farm Restaurant is naturally enough the kitchen, it is here that Chef Proprietor Jane Bond takes the best local produce that Somerset and the West Country can supply, creating mouth-watering dishes for you to enjoy in the restaurant. Jane’s passion is cooking, all the dishes at New Farm Restaurant are freshly prepared and cooked to order ensuring that your meal reaches your table at it’s best. The menu is changed regularly to reflect the seasons and to make the best use of Somerset’s  produce throughout the year. This perhaps is why the New Farm Restaurant is a regular winner of Taste of the West Awards – most recently Gold in 2013 and 2014.

Crispin assists Jane in the kitchen and also makes the bread, he is always thinking of new flavours and happy to listen to ideas from customers. Recent favourites have been the Cheddar Cheese & Chilli and the Lemon, Ginger & Black Pepper rolls.

Jane’s Sister, Sue has the domain of the restaurant and bar and will ensure that your stay will be an enjoyable one. Our service is attentive but not intrusive, Sue will be happy to advise on the menu and drinks, why not try one of our house cocktails with a West Country flavour. Crispin & Jane’s sons, Ben & Jack, also work in this Somerset Restaurant, so truly a family affair.

Any special dietary requirements please tell us when booking or let Sue know on your arrival and we adjust or create a dish that is suitable.

Party or large groups are one of New Farm’s specialities and Jane will tailor a menu to suit your tastes.
